WebCyclery is sponsoring the 10th Annual Firecracker 100, which celebrates the birth of America. This is a casual 100km (65 mile) road bike ride that will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2009. The ride will leave from the power station parking lot at the northwest corner of Alfalfa Market Road and Johnson Ranch Road between 8-8:30AM and proceed through Alfalfa, past the Prineville Reservoir into Prineville and back to the corner of Alfalfa Market and Johnson Ranch Roads. Patriotic apparel is encouraged and the minimum donation is $15. This year’s Firecracker 100 is a fundraiser for Partners in Care (formerly Central Oregon Home Health and Hospice and Hospice Center). Partners in Care is comprised of specially trained, caring individuals who include physicians, nurses, physical, occupational, speech therapists, as well as home health aides, medical social workers, pastoral counselors, bereavement counselors and volunteers who develop and follow a tailored plan to meet the unique and individual medical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family facing a serious, life-limiting illness.
