  • Studded Tires

    Another cold snap, including some snow, is in the local forecast right at the time when we're supposed to take our studded tires off our vehicles. Peter Murphy with the Oregon Department of Transportation's Bend office says there is a provision in place that would allow extending the deadline under severe circumstances but, for now, studded tires still have to come off by April first. Drivers with studded tires on their vehicles after April first can be hit with a maximum fine of $145.
