It was a misunderstanding that has been cleared up. That’s what Deschutes County Commissioner Tammi Melton is saying about concerns the Bethlehem Inn was going to stiff the county on repaying a two-and-a-quarter million dollar loan. Melton says the mixup was over the need for permanent supportive housing at another site. Inn officials still plan on keeping the former Econo Lodge motel as an emergency shelter and arrange for the permanent housing at another site.
