An FAA grant for $1.3 million goes to Bend Airport. Airport manager Sue Palmeri says the funds will be used to continue the runway improvement project. Palmeri says another FAA grant may be available in July for $600-thousand dollars. That grant would allow portions of the project that were taken out because of the lack of funding to be put back in including completion of the electrical building relocating the airport beacon.
