  • New Buses for BAT

    A 418-thousand dollar federal grant will soon put four new and bigger buses on Bend Area Transit’s regularly scheduled routes. The new buses will be able to carry 25 passengers compared to the 18 passengers they will replace. Bend City Spokesman Justine Finestone says the new buses will also get better gas mileage and will be less polluting. The buses are on order and should be in town around October 1st.
