Stryder faces many medical challenges in his short little life, one of which is a rare form of epilepsy called Landau- Kleffner Syndrome. Only a few hundred people worldwide are diagnosed with this illness, a form of epilepsy where the child has constant silent seizures while they are sleeping. Stryder has one or two seizures every second while asleep. These types of seizures can cause permanent brain damage if the seizures are not caught in time. This is where a 4 Paws seizure dog comes into play, alerting his parents when he is having a seizure so they can change his medications preventing as much brain damage as possible while protecting him from hurting himself. They have worked out a plan to get a dog trained for $13,000. The funds that are donated go directly toward the selection and extensive training for a specific 4 Paws dog for Stryder. Make sure you write his name in the subject line at the bottom of your check.
